The
Varitronics® ProImage® & ProImage® Plus Poster Printers are by far our most popular
refurbished models. They are also our least expensive. Both printers
accept 23" wide rolls
(the Plus unit also accepts 17" rolls which we do not
offer). We offer 25 different
color choices in 23" rolls which makes up 97% of the paper we
sell worldwide. Like all of the ProImage® version poster printers, they have manual selections (see picture 5) offering the end user the ability to enlarge to various sizes while still using a 23" roll. WHY WE LOVE THIS PRINTER: What's great about all the ProImage® models in our opinion is its simplicity. Not only is it easy to operate, its real easy to work on. Its primarily a mechanical system that really holds up. If a customer has a problem, we can usually help them fix it right over the phone. If not, we can easily diagnose it and give them a quick estimate on the cost to fix it. And there are not many things that go wrong with it. All our poster printers come with six month warranties. Additional extended warranties are available. Both the ProImage® & Plus printers work as a stand alone units. Simply insert your original into the scanner on top, press the green button, and your document is automatically fed through and enlarged to poster size within about 70 seconds. Its limited by the width of the document you're inserting (8 1/2") but not by the length. An 8 1/2" x 11" document equates to 23" wide by about 31" long. If we were to tape two documents together end to end, 8 1/2" x 22", our new output would be 23" by about 62" long. So not only can you create posters, but banners too. Like all the poster printer models, these are direct thermal - one color systems. Three print heads heat up (see picture 3) and cool down. The paper itself is coated and reacts to the heat by imaging in colors - typically black or blue. The best part is no toner or ink is ever needed. - just poster paper. (see picture 4) This keeps costs extremely low and operations fast & easy. So when you're figuring your costs, remember, no ink cartridges, no various grades of paper quality at expensive pricing and no waiting 20 minutes for a poster to be created. No matter how much black ink you use or how much pastel purple or any other color we offer, the cost to produce your poster or banner will be the same. Solid black or solid background color, it still costs the same to make. Try that with inkjet! All refurbished poster printers are
cleaned, lubricated and adjusted. Any parts damaged or not working
properly are replaced. Each refurbished poster printer will come as
if working brand new and should give customers years of
service. And remember, all our printers come with 6
month warranties covering the unit from top to bottom (except from
mishandling) as well as free phone support for as long as you own your
printer. We also offer an additional 6 month
warranty, 1 year total for only $99 more. We have no concerns of
